Split in alliances comes as a lottery for obscure corporators

The split between the alliances in the state of Maharashtra has resulted has come as a lottery for city corporators,several of whom have suddenly got tickets to contest the assembly elections.
 
Four time corporator and ex-mayor Sunil Prabhu, has been given a second opportunity to contest from Dindoshi. Arvind Dudhvadkar of the Shiv Sena has got a ticket from Malabar hill. Prominent names from the BJP include Improvements Committee chairman Ujjwala Modak (K-East ward), Dr. Ram Barot (P-North ward), Manisha Chaudhary (R-Central), Amit Satam (K-West) and Tamil Selvam (F-North).
 
 

Contesting from the Congress this time is Ghatkopar corporator Praveen Chheda. While MNS seems to have played safe by fielding Dilip Lande, a two-time corporator, from Ghatkopar. Others include Ishwar Tayade (L ward) and Bhalchandra Ambure (K-East ward)
