Maharashtra: Shiv Sena MP Bhavana Gawali summoned by ED
In a recent step that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken against the Shiv Sena MP Bhavana Gawali and summoned her for investigating on October 4 over the money laundering which has been filed against her and others. Bhavana Gawali 48 belongs to the Yavatmal-Washim seat in Maharashtra. She has been asked to go the investigating officer of the case at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office, located in South Mumbai.
 
He aids Saeed Khan was arrested on Tuesday after a criminal case was filed under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Before arresting Saeed Khan in the criminal case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) stated in a special PMLA court on Tuesday stating that Gawali has conspired a trust into a private company via khan by “forgery and fraud” for layering the fund's worth Rs 18 crore. 
 
Saeed Khan is in Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) custody till October 1. The agency further wants to probe into the matter more by asking Gawali about her links with khan and the trust named Mahila Utkarsha Pratishthan and all the related transactions. While presenting the information before the court, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) stated that the probe in the matter has resulted in taking out the Rs 18.8 crore suggesting misappropriation of funds and Rs 7 crore cash which has been layered.
 
Also, there were involved forgery signatures of the management and documents from public institutions. This case has come at a time when the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections are just around the corner. And Maharashtra ruled Shiv Sena states that Central Government is controlling the Enforcement Directorate against it.
