Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has invited the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) administration to take a floor test on Thursday, more than a week after Shiv Sena MP’s led by Shinde defected against the party. Meanwhile, after the appeal of opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis, Raj Thackeray has decided to assist Fadnavis, and MNS MLA Raju Patil will vote. Meanwhile, Maharashtra MLAs, led by dissident
Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, checked out of the hotel in Guwahati on Wednesday evening and arrived at the airport.
After a two-hour delay, the dissident MLAs opted to leave for Goa, from whence they will travel to Mumbai for the floor test on Thursday, according to sources. According to them, the travel itinerary is also affected by the ongoing Supreme Court procedures. The MLAs, their associates, and some family members left the Radisson Blu hotel in three Assam State Transport Corporation air-conditioned buses.
The three buses were travelling under high security to the airport, which was around 15 kilometres distant. The buses were escorted by many vehicles. Hundreds of police officers have been stationed at the Guwahati airport since the morning, according to officials. According to them, a chartered flight has already arrived at the airport to transport the MP’s to Goa.
