Protestors of the Juhu clashes in the Rane controversy were rewarded with the post

In a recent appointment by Yuva Sena Chief Aaditya Thackeray of Yuva Sena Joint Secretary Mohsin Sheikh after he had to face the brunt of the police lathis when protesting outside Union Minister’s house after his contentious remarks against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. The photo of Mohsin Sheikh where his clothes are seen toned with police personnel’s lathi charging him went viral. He was injured in the clashes.
Congratulating for his appointment, Yuva Sena Secretary Varun Sardesai in a tweet said, “I congratulate Mohsin Sheikh on his appointment in the party who is the Yuva Sena’s daring Tiger.” Speculations are being made that this appointment has been rewarded for the fight against Rane. Shiv Sena insiders stated that the party is likely to give tickets to 12 to15 Yuva Sena functionaries ahead of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections 2022.
Many functionaries have been appointed recently in the Yuva Sena on Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) committee. And these faces are from the minority community. Mohsin Sheikh was in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), after which he joined the Shiv Sena in 2017. The protests against Rane which were led by Yuva Sena office-bearers and functionaries have been trying to show its soft image of being a dormant organisation.
From the time of the establishment of the Youth wing which is led by Aaditya Thackeray, the wing has always been dominant on the Bhartiya Vidyarthi Sena (BVS), which used to be the militant street politics. The Yuva Sena members protesting outside the residence of Union Minister Narayan Rane had a meeting with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, stated a leader from the party’s youth wing on Tuesday night at his official residence with Aaditya Thackeray.
