Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), responded angrily to a demonstration by Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) employees outside his Silver Oak mansion in South Mumbai on Friday evening, stating they were deceived.
"They are being led astray. ST workers and I have a long history together; I haven't missed a single session with them in the last 40-50 years. This demonstration went in the wrong direction this time, and the result is today's incident "The former Union Minister was reported by the news outlet ANI as stating”.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has ordered the police to take strong action against those who caused the commotion outside Pawar's home. When the
NCP chief was at home, a group of striking MSRTC employees launched an enraged demonstration outside Pawar's house.
According to a statement from the Chief Minister's Office, Thackeray condemned the act, noting that Maharashtra had never had a precedent where leaders and their families were targeted personally. I've instructed the Home Minister to take tough measures against the attack's instigators and perpetrators. After this occurrence, no one should take the law into their own hands," Thackeray was quoted as saying in the statement.
In addition, the Mumbai Police have filed an FIR for rioting and conspiracy against 107 people. An FIR has been filed against 107 people at the Gamdevi police station in South Mumbai, with 23 of the accused being women, according to an official. He went on to say that among the implicated are officials of state transportation staff, workers and others.
