If its demands for 'same pay for equal work' and other issues are not met, the Municipal Kamgar Karmachari Sena, an MNS section, has threatened to organize a 'Dhol Wajava' morcha (Drum Play Morcha) at civic offices on March 11. The MNS union's local chapter has been pushing for 'same compensation for equal work' for both contract and permanent workers. The outfit is upset that a union representative was not included in the committee formed to resolve the problem under the chairmanship of the Additional Commissioner.

The group is also asking Rs 50 lakh in compensation for contract employees who died as a result of the corona. Additionally, for working during the corona period, from March 23, 2020, to May 31, 2020, Rs. 300 per day should be paid. Because the foregoing requests have not been met, the group has been obliged to call a morcha. Families of the 13 contract employees who died as a result of corona will also be present at the morcha, according to the organization.
