Devendra Fadnavis: Not at all right to hold rallies over an incident that never happened in Tripura
Ahead of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections 2022, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis stated that it was very wrong to form rallies in the state for an event that never happened in Tripura and has urged people to control as the incidents of violence were reported for the second continuous day from Amravati city resulting to which curfew was imposed.

“It was clarified by the Tripura Government and the police personnel that there was no destruction of properties of the minority community neither there was any burn. With this also the pictures were issued, it is my request to all the people to avoid interfering in any such kind of activities,” stated the former Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devendra Fadnavis.

He also stated without taking any names of the political parties, parties in the state government too should not give any statements regarding this issue that may ignite the case. “The idea of holding rallies is wrong in the state of Maharashtra, which has not even taken place, to attack a shop of a minority community is not at all right,” stated Fadnavis.

An incident occurred on Saturday where a group of people pelted stones and damaged shops at different places in Amravati city during a bandh which was organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) allegedly, and they had asked the police officers to lathi charge the protestors stated a source from the official.

This bandh came soon after eight people went to the Amravati district collector’s office with a complaint and submitted a memorandum asking that atrocities against a minority community in Tripura should be stopped. Soon after they were leaving after submitting the memorandum, stone pelting started to take place. FIR has been registered under this matter.
