NCP Leader Malik asks for Extensive Investigation against NCB’s probe

Taking a jibe at the Central Government, Maharashtra’s ruling parties have asked for a high-level investigation by Maharashtra police soon after the revelation made by a key witness in the cruise drugs case, Prabhakar Sail. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik stated that a meeting is soon going to be arranged between him and the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray urging him of this demand. 

 

Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) every failure and violation in the investigation of cruise ship case, has become a point of attack for the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik, alleging that this needs to be probed by a Special Investigation Team (SIT). 

 

“Soon after the revelation was done, we continuously were saying something and that came to be true. The sail stated that Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has demanded money 8 crores from Actor Shah Rukh Khan which was meant for the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal director Sameer Wankhede. The officials are threatening Bollywood through their extensive investigation. If their call records, locations of the vehicles, mobile locations are checked thoroughly, the truth will come out,” stated the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik.

 

He further stated that he is personally going to meet Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Monday to demand a Special Investigation Team (SIT) against the racket which is being run by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). He further said that he will urge Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to look into this matter and take out an extensive probe against these officials. 

 

Responding to this the leader of opposition in the legislative council Pravin Darekar stated that the parties ruling in the state are targeting the central agencies by false assumptions and allegations. “The ruling parties in the state of Maharashtra have been targeting the central agencies intentionally with all the false allegations, just because of political reasons they are trying to level just baseless attacks,” stated Pravin Darekar.
