Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, on Saturday urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to take an inclusive stance and steer clear of conflict amid the dispute between the Thackeray faction and the Shinde camp over holding the traditional Dusserah rally at Shivaji Park. One day after the Shinde camp submitted an application to the BMC asking for permission to hold the Dusserah demonstration in Shivaji Park, Pawar offered his advice.

The Thackeray group has already filed its application and has accused the BMC of holding it up. The Dusserah march will take place on October 5 no matter what, Uddhav Thackeray has already stated. The Thackeray camp has also started a campaign on Twitter for the same purpose. The chief leader of the Shiv Sena, Maharashtra Chief Minister Shinde, will speak at the event, according to the Shinde camp, which describes their party as the genuine Shiv Sena.

The Dussehra rally issue has caused a dispute between the two camps. Everyone has the right to hold demonstrations, but such disputes should be avoided. A chief minister serves all parties and is not affiliated with any one of them. He ought to have a broad stance, Pawar suggested.

Without mentioning Yuva Sena President Aaditya Thackeray, the spokesperson for the Shinde camp and Thane Mayor Naresh Mhaske questioned Pawar about whether the young politician should refrain from calling the chief minister offensive names.
We appreciate his (Pawar's) advice to the Shinde, but Maharashtra would appreciate it if he also told a certain prince (Aaditya) to refrain from disparaging the state's chief minister, Mhaske added.
