Mumbai MNS corporator demands free homes for kin of Samyukta Maharashtra martyrs

MNS Corporator Sudhir Jadhav has demanded the BMC to provide free homes to descendents of 106 hutatmas or martyrs who laid their lives for Samyukta Maharashtra, by moving a notice of motion this month.
The martyrs who fought and laid their lives fighting for the unified Maharashtra should be honoured and the BMC should take an initiative. If the civic body is planning to construct 10 lakh homes over a period of 20 years, then it should consider honouring the families of the martyrs by giving one home to each of the descendents, said the MNS corporator from Prabhadevi.
The corporator also demanded that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) should also give jobs to at least one of the descendents.
