Employees of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) who were involved in an attack on Sharad Pawar's home would not be rehired, according to Transport Minister Anil Parab. As a result, Parab has made it abundantly apparent that anyone who took part in the violent protest at Pawar's home will lose their employment.

Parab's announcement came just days after the Mumbai Police detained 109 demonstrators who threw stones and chappals outside Pawar's home, and they are now being held in judicial custody, as ordered by the court. "In connection with the attack on NCP Chief Sharad Pawar's residence, the police have filed an FIR against MSRTC staff. As a result, it will be impossible to return to work," Parab explained. He has so implied that, while sympathetic to their varied demands, the government and MSRTC administration will not accept any unruly behaviour.

Parab has made it clear that violence would not be tolerated by the Maha Vikas Aghadi government or the MSRTC management. The authorities are currently investigating how many MSRTC personnel was involved in the attack on Pawar's Silver Oak home. The police are also conducting an inquiry to see if any outsiders or members of any political party or organisation were involved in the incident.

Parab sent a new appeal to the striking MSRTC personnel, urging them to return to work by April 22 in accordance with Bombay High Court orders. Staff members of the MSRTC have been on strike since October 28, demanding that the company be merged into the state government so that they can benefit from government perks like salary, pensions, and allowances based on the pay commission.

Based on the recommendations of a three-member team, the administration has previously ruled out MSRTC's merger with the state government, claiming that it would be administratively and financially infeasible. “The court has ordered that all employees return to work on April 22. If they do not return to work within this time frame, they will face the same suspensions, dismissals, and terminations as previously," Parab explained.
