Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, on Monday expressed sorrow over the passing of Mulayam Singh Yadav, the three-time Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and leader of the Samajwadi Party, and praised him for his contributions to the state's growth. After a protracted illness, Yadav, 82, passed away on Monday at a hospital in Gurugram.
