India has two 'Rashtra Pita', Narendra Modi father of New India, says Amruta Fadnavis

Amruta Fadnavis, the spouse of Devendra Fadnavis, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, has referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the father of New India and stated that there are two "Rashtra Pita" in the nation father of the nation. "Two "Rashtra Pita" are available. Mahatma Gandhi is the father of the country from older times, but Narendra Modi is the father of New India "During a simulated court interview, Amruta, a banker and singer, said. Yashomati Thakur, a Congresswoman and former Minister for Maharashtra, criticised the senior BJP leader's wife for the comments.

 

"BJP and RSS supporters have repeatedly attempted to assassinate Gandhiji. They continue to act in such a way that they are fixated on altering history by reiterating lies and defaming great individuals like Gandhiji, "said Thakur. Amruta was questioned about referring to Modi as the "Rashtra Pita" last year at the fictitious court interview (abhirup nyayalay). She was questioned by the interviewer about who Mahatma Gandhi was and if Modi was the Rashtra Pita.

 

Amruta responded that Modi is the Rashtra Pita of New India and that Mahatma Gandhi is the Rashtra Pita of the nation. She continued, "We have two Rashtra Pita;  Mahatma Gandhi is the Rashtra Pita of that (previous) era and Narendra Modi is the Rashtra Pita of New India. Days before Amruta's comments, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari received criticism from the opposition for his comments regarding Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

 

Koshyari wrote to Union Home Minister Amit Shah to clarify his position after receiving criticism from the Opposition for his remarks about the Maratha warrior king and to express his viewpoint that he would "never even contemplate" denigrating such symbols. "I can't even contemplate in my fantasies insulting historical figures like Shri Guru Govind Singh, Maharana Pratap, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. You know that even if I made a mistake accidentally, I never hesitate to apologise or show regret, "In the letter to Shah, Koshyari wrote.
