Uddhav Thackeray, the president of the Shiv Sena, thanked Rajan Salvi, an MLA, in a letter on Wednesday for continuing to support the "real
Shiv Sena." The intentions of Eknath Shinde and those who support him will be reduced to dust, Thackeray promised, according to a report in India Today.
Thackeray praised Salvi for "staying loyal during difficult times" later in the letter. You have taken the brunt of Eknath Shinde's rupture, he wrote, "with unwavering faith in the Shiv Sena's goal-oriented policies, and you have not pleaded or feared exclusion from the illegitimate government he has formed."
According to Uddhav Thackeray, Salvi and other devoted Shiv Sainiks will help stop Eknath Shinde and his allies from weakening the Shiv Sena. "Despite difficulties, you remained loyal to the Shiv Sena. He continued, "Despite the pressure, you strongly backed the Shiv Sena party's order.
Before Eknath Shinde became the Chief Minister of Maharashtra with the backing of the Devendra Fadnavis-led BJP, up to 40 Shiv Sena MLAs had switched to his camp. Thackeray continues to enjoy the support of the Shiv Sena's 15 remaining MLAs. In the meantime, Shinde today announced a donation of Rs 3 lakh to the family of a Shiv Sainik who passed away last week after suffering a heart attack close to Uddhav Thackeray's home.
On July 6, Sena official Bhagwan Kale (55), along with other party members, visited Thackeray's home in the Bandra neighbourhood of Mumbai to show their support for him. After having a heart attack, Kale passed away as he was being taken to the hospital.
