Days after Pune Additional Sessions Court Judge PP Jadhav's scathing remarks that the anti-corruption was dancing to the tune of the government while preventing the ACB (Anti Corruption Bureau) from arresting the former minister and current BJP legislator Eknath Khadse, his wife, and his son-in-law in the MIDC land allotment case, Khadse broke his silence and attacked the BJP, Khadse took to social media to criticise the party

He asserted that the court's harsh criticism was a rebuke to the Shinde Fadnavis administration and that the BJP was attempting to smear him through the court's procedures. The court has stated that it believes the investigating agency, ACB, is not being truthful about its responsibilities and is instead playing to the interests of those in authority. The court has also ruled that investigative agencies must do their jobs while maintaining their integrity with the public. By placing a pistol on the shoulders of the court, investigative agencies are attempting to pursue their target. According to Khadse, who quoted the court's harsh criticism, "there may be an attempt to get anything illegally under threat."

Khadse continued by stating that the court had also ruled that the accused did not need to be detained and that the final report should be written. "The government is trying to intimidate us or coerce something from us." According to Khadse, attempts are being made to use power to target dissent. When he served as the revenue minister for the BJP-led government between 2014 and 2016, Khadse is accused of abusing his position to buy a 3-acre plot of land from the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation in Bhosari, Pune, in the name of his wife Mindanai Khadse and son-in-law Girish Chaudhari, allegedly at a reduced price. Later, Khadse submitted his resignation from the ministry.
