Devendra Fadnavis, the State Assembly's Leader of Opposition, led a scathing attack on the Shiv Sena-led Maha Vikas Aghadi government over rampant corruption during the coronavirus pandemic, especially in Mumbai and other parts, days before the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections and days after the pen drive bomb.

Fadnavis spoke at length on the scams and anomalies in the Shiv Sena-controlled BMC's implementation of health-related policies, including the establishment of Covid clinics, during a debate on the state assembly's last day motion. Fandnavis claimed to have a sensitive dossier on the alleged terror fund scheme created by Mumbai police. He urged that the National Investigation Agency be entrusted with the investigation.

The storey revolves around a professional gang with over 300 members operating in several states. He claims they are involved in narcotics, sex trafficking, and terror financing, with suspected ties to ISIS. Fadnavis claimed, without identifying Shiv Sena or party leaders, that contracts for the establishment of Covid centres were allocated to corporations controlled by party office bearers (Shiv Sena) rather than reputable health-care organisations and agencies.

"These businesses had no prior expertise in this area." Despite the fact that many patients did not visit many Covid facilities, the corporations were paid 50%. The authorities continue to make their fortunes by putting Mumbai and Mumbaikars in danger," asserted Fadnavis.

The contract for the Jumbo Covid Center in Pune was granted to Lifeline Management Hospitals Services. It was, however, evicted and blacklisted within 15 days due to a lack of experience. In Mumbai, however, the same firm was awarded contracts for five Covid facilities. Similar examples have come to light, but no action has been done," Fadnavis remarked. He said that the oxygen supply had been tainted as well.

Apart from that, Fadnavis alleged there were scams in tab and Remdesivir procurement, transfers, tender awarding, and material acquisitions. He said that at the Standing Committee's most recent meeting, approximately Rs 6,500 crore in projects were approved. "BMC, which is ranked 45th in financial management, is rife with corruption. There is nothing but plundering. There must be a sense of giving rather than taking," Fadnavis explained.

Fadnavis stated it is Maha Vinash Aghadi, Maha Vasuli Aghadi, based on the Maha Vikas Aghadi's two-year administration. Madya Vikri Aghadi is, indeed, Madya Vikri Aghadi. According to Fadnavis, the government did not lower gasoline and diesel taxes, but it did lower the charge for renewing liquor licences.
