BJP writes to ED, Demanding investigation against Shiv Sena MLA
After the reports of Shiv Sena MLA Yamini Jadhav disqualifying over inconsistency in her affidavit for the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, came in from the Income Tax Department, the leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kirit Somaiya had asked the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for investigation against her. 
 
“There is a requirement of intensive investigation as it seems properties amounting to crores of rupees, transactions of the shell companies and foreign companies with UAE based,” stated Kirit Somaiya in his letter to the Enforcement Directorate (ED). 
Further, the allegation by Kirit Somaiya, who is the former MP stated that three properties have been concealed jointly by Shiv Sena MLA Yamini Jadhav and her mother in Ratnagiri district and also an unsecured loan was taken of Rs 1 crore from a shell company in the name of Pradhan Dealers Pvt Ltd.
 
The probe led by the Income Tax (IT) Department found inconsistency in some transactions with a Kolkata-based shell company, claimed that it was used to launder money to the tune of Rs 15 crore to her and her family members. Further, the allegations by the BJP leader Kirit Somaiya stated that the money the family got was used in money laundering activities in the UAE. "The black money that has been received by Jadhav’s family from complex web companies was being used in many money laundering activities,” stated Kirit Somaiya.
