Corporator promises Aksa beach lifeguards for better facilities

After the recent drowning of a college girl in Bandra, Bandstand, the spotlight has shifted to the lifeguards, who have been requesting for better facilities for a long time.
In a meeting held on February 19 between the Shiv Sena corporator Ajit Bhandari and the lifeguards of Aksa beach at the corporator’s office in Malad, Bhandari promised the lifeguards of Aksa beach to take up the issue of providing better facilities with the BMC and the Mumbai Fire Brigade.
However, he stated, “I cannot give you the exact date of when the problem will be solved. But I will follow up about the issue regularly till it’s resolved.”While the lifeguards are happy about the interest of the corporator, they still have apprehensions about their demands being met.
