Congress in Maharashtra Prepares for upcoming Municipal Corporation elections 2022

As the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation elections 2022 are approaching, all the parties seem to prepare themselves. The Congress in Maharashtra informed that a meeting was held about the party’s manifesto for the state and also stated that their party has started its preparations for the approaching polls in 2022. 

 

While speaking to the reporters, Maharashtra Congress in-charge H K Patil stated “A meeting was held today about the Mumbai regional Congress committee’s screening and strategy, all the discussions related to the preparations for the elections of the corporations were taken and we also discussed the manifesto and programs that our party should be launching.”

 

He also stated that the party has decided to hold a rally in Shivaji Park on 28th December in this regard. "On 28th December the Congress in Mumbai will hold a rally at Shivaji Park on the eve of Congress Foundation Day, we have decided to invite Sonia Gandhi the President of the Congress Party and Rahul Gandhi to the rally,” stated Maharashtra Congress In-charge H K Patil.  

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra on Thursday stated that their party will not be letting any local body elections take place unless and until the matter of the Other Backward Classes (OBC) reservations gets solved.  

 

“The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will not let any local body elections take place unless and until the whole matter of the Other Backward Class reservations gets solved,” stated the Maharashtra BJP President Chandrakant Patil. Meanwhile, the BJP president Chandrakant Patil after a meeting with MNS leader Raj Thackeray stated that “No possibility of BJP-MNS coalition as the views the leader has about other states is not acceptable in our party.” All the statements by the Ministers come amidst the approaching Municipal Corporation elections which are going to be held in 2022 in the state of Maharashtra.
