Congress fights at Borivali over Center's antibody supply as BJP in BMC looks for the opening of home improvement shops

Mumbai: Congress corporates and workers staged a protest at the Borivali market in the western suburbs on Wednesday afternoon against the Union Ministry's decision to distribute Covid-19 vaccines. The protest was led by Bhushan Patil, a Congress corporator from Borivali. Workers maintained a human network about 100 meters long and flashed placards - "Modiji Humare Bachon Ki Vaccine Bidesh Kyun Bhej Diya?" Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in BMC has written to the civic body and the chief minister demanding the immediate opening of hardware and electronics stores.

"Many people have lost their homes and their properties have been hit by Hurricane Tauktae in the city. Repairs are being carried out due to the unavailability of materials due to the lockdown. That is why we have asked the government to open stores," said Vinod Mishra, senior corporator and party leader at BMC.
