Champa Singh Thapa and Moreshwar Raje, who spent nearly three decades working for former Shiv Sena leader Bal Thackeray at his home, "Matoshree," joined the faction headed by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Monday. Prior to the Sena patriarch's passing in November 2012, Thapa, his dedicated Man Friday, had served him faithfully for 27 years. Raje spent at least 35 years living at the Thackeray home in Mumbai's Bandra district, where he used to answer calls for Bal Thackeray at "Matoshree."
Thapa and Raje were greeted and given shawls by Thane MLA and Chief Minister Shinde as they joined the group. "Everyone rejoices that the limitations on festivals related to the pandemic have been abolished on this fortunate occasion of Navaratra. There is a lot of energy, which is what is needed right now "He continued by saying that the addition of Thapa and Raje, who were like shadows of Bal Thackeray, had improved the festive mood.
Shinde claimed that the two joined his group because he represents the "genuine"
Shiv Sena and is advancing the Hindutva and teachings of the Sena's founder. "Balasaheb used to speak plainly and without hesitation. People did not welcome the Sena's partnership with
Congress and NCP under the Maha Vikas Aghadi since they knew Balasaheb well "said he. Vaidehi Vadan, the President of the Palghar Zilla Parishad, and a few other local officials also joined the Shinde faction on this occasion.
