The stage is all set for BMC elections, one of the most crucial of its kind. A prestigious battle for Mumbai itself. As I S Chahal banned political party hoardings, banners, and flags at vaccination centers, some activists assert that few centers still exhibit them.

As the data from BMC says, from June 1 to June 15, 165 illegal political flags and banners have been taken out from all parts of the city. Activists also claim that the time the civic officials leave; the posters are put up again. The local politicians try to pressurize the authorities to not take down the banners. Activists claim that these politicians have fabricated “selfie galleries” in the name of facilitating vaccination drives to promote themselves.

Amid talks of the change in government, Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray’s statement at the Shiv Sena's 55th foundation day has caused tremors. The series of political meetings in the state in the last one month has triggered speculations, whether there was a spontaneous Pawar Fadnavis meeting or Chief Minister Uddhav’s meeting with the Prime Minister. And the rumors triggered NCP Supremo to remind Shiv Sena of Bala Saheb Thackeray’s promise to Indira Gandhi. It remains to be seen in Maharashtra as politics take an interesting turn in the next few days.
