BJP Mumbai-unit chief Ashish Shelar claimed that the party will get full majority with 114 seats out of 227, in the BMC polls. Giving details of the party analysis of Lok Sabha segment wise, the 114 seats, Shelar said that in North Mumbai the party would win 23 seats, North-Central 20 seats, North-West 19 seats, North-East 21 seats, South-Central 18 seats and in South Mumbai 13 seats. He also claimed that that the BJP will get a vote share of 30 to 31%. Shelar also challenged Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray to announce how many seats the Sena would win and to declare it.
Sena MP Rahul Shewale in reply, on behalf of party chief Uddhav Thackeray, questioned Shelar that will the chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and Mumbai BJP chief Shelar resign if they wont touch 114 number in the BMC poll? “Being a Mumbai Cricket Association president Shelar knows the language of match fixer and bookies. Shelar showing his overconfidence. Mumbaikar will show on their ‘Aukat’ on February 21 through ballot,” said Shewale.
The BMC polls has been scheduled on Tuesday February 21 while the counting will be on February 23.
