Mumbai Court granted bail to the aide of Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik: Money Laundering investigation
Yogesh Deshmukh who is a close associate of Shiv Sena legislature Pratap Sarnaik has been granted bail on Thursday by the Special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court in a money laundering case which is related to the professed National Spot Exchange (NSEL) scam.

Priyanka Dubey who is the counsel of Deshmukh stated that as there is no further investigation by the ED and earlier the bail was rejected stating the reason for further investigation. Yogesh Chandegela who is a relative of Sarnaik was protected from arrest by the court.

She further stated that Yogesh Deshmukh was in the custody of the ED from April 6 and no progress could be noticed. It was also clarified by them that they were not challenging the attachments of plots at Titwala, which were as claimed bought using the NSEL scam money.

In a response to this issue, the party’s Maharashtra Chief Nana Patole said that the reason for the action against the Congress leaders through the microblogging site took place just because the party in a very effective manner had used the platform against Narendra Modi government.

The investigation in Sarnaik’s company is being done as Rs 11 crore was received by them from the NSEL scam. The allegations are being made on the Aastha Group defrauding NSEL of ?250 crores and Sarnaik’s company Vihang Group allegedly helped it to launder the money. All the allegation which has been raised on Sarnaik has been denied by him.
