After making a Monday request through his attorney for the same, a special court has ordered that NCP leader Anil Deshmukh be brought to Jaslok hospital for a cardiac angiography test. The court ordered the superintendent of the Arthur Road jail to pay for Deshmukh's admission for the test and any additional treatment that may be necessary at the same facility.

Deshmukh would be responsible for paying for any police escorts that are required as per the ruling. Additionally, it has instructed jail officials to present it with the test report. Additionally, the court has given Deshmukh's wife and children permission to be in the hospital with him. Deshmukh was detained in the matter of money laundering in November of last year.

Deshmukh was hospitalised at the civic-run KEM hospital in May of this year after complaining of chest trouble. Deshmukh is currently housed at Arthur Road Prison on a charge of money laundering. ED refused the former home minister's request to receive medical care in a private facility.

Later, on August 27, he was admitted to Mumbai's JJ hospital. After requesting the same on Monday through his attorney, a special court has now ordered that NCP leader Anil Deshmukh be brought to Jaslok Hospital for a coronary angiography test. Additionally, the Bombay High Court's decision to give bail to the former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in a money laundering case was challenged, and the Bombay High Court decided on Monday to hear the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) appeal on Tuesday.
