After the rape and murder case of a 32year old women Saki Naka in the State of Maharashtra, the opposition with different parties have started attacking the ruling party in the state, Shiv Sena led by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. The Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray held an urgent meeting with senior officials from the Maharashtra Police Force and home department in South Mumbai.
In the meeting, Chief Minister Thackeray directed the police personnel to dig out the records of people who are coming from other states in a way for a different type of style of working and revising the working into the fast track so that there is the speedy implementation of punishment and registration of all the complaints filed by women.
The meeting by the Chief Minister included all the police officers from the force, from all cities and district heads, Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil, Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunte with additional Chief Secretary Manu Kumar Srivastava. The points raised by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray included shelters for women who are homeless living in pavements, railway stations, or bus stations and has also urged the central government for a helping hand. He further stated that the state government will refurbish the working style of the judicial system for a speedy recovery.
“Deployment of Police officers for all the pending cases in the fast-track court will be done for speedy implementation of rules and regulations. The police will have to be more vigilant alert so that to maintain its reputation,” stated the Home minister Walse Patil. Further, the Home Minister also directed the police officers to register each case that has been filed by the women and prioritize them for further investigations.
