Former state environment minister Aaditya Thackeray has been under fire from BJP legislator Ameet Satam for his inaction while in office. He said that the Maharashtra government was recently fined Rs 12,000 crore by the Central Green Tribunal for failing to control solid waste and pollution. In a letter to Aaditya, Satam called the latter's climate action plan a joke.

The MLA mocked the Sena leader in the letter and sarcastically blamed him for the environmental crisis. According to him, Aaditya's "achievements" are evidenced by the tribunal's punishment. He said that Aaditya could only hold the position of environment minister in the former Maha Vikas Agahdi alliance with the approval of his father, Uddhav Thackeray.

The BJP MLA claimed that in addition to misleading the people of Maharashtra under the guise of "climate action," he took public funds for vacations overseas while doing little on the ground. Additionally, he claimed that Mumbai residents didn't need to travel to Europe to see the Black Sea because all of the contaminated water had been dumped into the water right here. There are several theories as to how the Black Sea came to be known as it is today.

The most common is that metal from ships and other objects as well as dead plants and animal matter that sank deeper than 150 metres for an extended period of time were covered in black sludge due to a high concentration of hydrogen sulphide.
