The Uddhav Thackeray faction has filed a list of three names and symbols for the impending by-elections in Andheri East, according to sources, a day after the Election Commission of India froze the name and emblem of the Shiv Sena. According to reports, the names Shiv Sena Balasaheb Thackeray, Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray, and Shiv Sena Prabodhankar Thackeray were selected by Uddhav's group.

According to NDTV, they have also projected three different sign options: a Trishu'Risl, a Torch or Mashal and a Rising Sun. Following a disagreement between the Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde factions, the Election Commission put the Shiv Sena name and its bow and arrow symbol on hold. The panel also instructed them to provide a list of three names and symbols, from which EC will choose one for each, for consideration.
