With a total investment of more than Rs 1.80 lakh crore in four mega projects since the Shinde Fadnavis administration assumed office on June 30, Maharashtra has lost them. Surprisingly, out of the four projects, three would be built in Gujarat, which is under

Numerous incentives, including 400 acres of land at no cost and the remaining 700 acres at a 75 percent rate in Talegaon, were provided by the former Maha Vikas Aghadi government. The government granted a capital subsidy of 25% for displays, 30% for semiconductors, and 27% for other outsourced semiconductor assembly services out of a total capital subsidy of Rs 39,000 crore. Incentives for EPF and ESI of Rs 864 crore over five years were also approved by the government. Gujarat won the Rs 22,000 crore Tata Airbus project from the Shinde-Fadnavis-led administration. If the project had been located in MIHAN, Nagpur, the government had predicted that it would have employed 6,000 people directly and indirectly. With a customised package of incentives agreed upon by a High Powered Committee (HPC), the state government had suggested investing up to 100% of their fixed capital.
