NCP leader and Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik rebutted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's claim that the Congress provided free train tickets to migrant workers fleeing Mumbai during the first COVID-19 wave, saying that the Prime Minister made everyone bang thalis while the Maharashtra government provided food, water, and free tickets to the migrants.
"PM Modi forced everyone to eat thalis and implemented COVID-19 lockdown without warning, affecting millions of migrant workers," Malik claimed. "The Maharashtra government provided all necessary services to migrant workers. Free food, water, and tickets were distributed. We provided free tickets while you ran the trains. Buses were also provided by the state government for these workers.
While you organised the 'Namaste Trump' event, which spread the COVID-19 infection over the country, we stood by the poor and defenceless ", said the NCP's leader. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched an all-out attack on the Congress on Monday, alleging that the grand old party provided migrant labourers free railway tickets to leave Mumbai, spreading coronavirus.
He also chastised the Delhi government, which is led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. "The Delhi government instructed migrant workers to leave the city and gave them with buses," Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated, adding that the coronavirus had spread throughout Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand as a result of this.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi launched a stinging attack on the Congress, saying he believes the grand old party has resolved not to return to power for the next 100 years. He also cited other instances in which
Congress has been powerless for years. The Prime Minister stated that the opposition can disagree with him, but that "blind opposition is disrespectful of democracy." "You can disagree with me, but why are you (the Congress) opposed to the Fit India Movement and other government initiatives?
It's no surprise you've been voted out of several states throughout the years... I believe you have decided not to seek power for the next 100 years "he stated "You ignore what I say when I say 'Voice For Local.' Don't you want India to be known as 'Atamanirbhar'? You (the Congress) do not want to see Mahatma Gandhi's dreams realised " he added.
