The 2022 BMC elections are worth fighting for in Mumbai and for which every party is going to make sure that it has control over the BMC. Talking about the same at the Mumbai Press Club, Delhi MLA and AAP leader Atishi said that since there is just the combination of ruling parties and no opposition party in Mumbai AAP will emerge as an opposition for the locals in Mumbai.

With the elections coming near Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has made a way to contest the BMC polls of 2022. Speaking at a media conference AAP leader Atishi pointed out about the opposition status in Mumbai.

“Mumbai’s budget is much more than that of Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party is presenting itself as a viable alternative and will contest all 227 seats in the upcoming BMC polls in 2022,” said Atishi.

Shiv Sena only seems to be concerned about large contracts. No wonder it passed 300 proposals in a single sitting of the BMC’s standing committee recently,” said Atishi.

She also said that the party has inherited a government in deficit when they won in Delhi but due to Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership and global best practices as well as innovative people-friendly policies, we managed to turn it around. As per the CAG, Delhi is the only revenue surplus state in India.”

Atishi also questioned about the open defecation claims by the government.
