A water shortage will be faced by several regions in the city of Mumbai stated the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on August 3 and some areas will face complete water cuts. 20 wards will be impacted due to the water cut in the city stated the latest official notification of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). 
 
In the western suburbs and few areas of eastern suburbs, a 15 percent water cut will be noticed on Tuesday. The areas included are Mumbai Central to Churchgate, and Bandra, with areas between Malad to Dahisar. There will be a 15% water cut on August 3 between 8.30 am to 10.30 pm, the BMC added. Complete water cuts will be noticed in regions like Kurla, Andheri, Ghatkopar, Ram Mandir, and Goregaon.
 
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated that due to the ongoing maintenance work which is taking place at the Veravali Water Reservoir in Jogeshwari (East) to ensure improved water supply in the city. The water shortage will also be faced by some areas in the city as the ongoing work.  
 
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has urged the citizens to co-operate with the civic body and store the required water. Currently, the water level in seven lakes where the drinking water is supplied is at 73.86%. 3,850 million litres of water is supplied by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) against the demand of 4,200 million litres.
