The price of most vegetables has reduced dramatically due to an abundance of green vegetables at the Mumbai Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) in Vashi. In the retail market, certain veggies cost between Rs 30 and Rs 40 per kilogram. Residents claim that the winter season has finally brought them joy.

For the past month, the costs of most green vegetables in the retail sector have been double to triple those in the wholesale market. Prices for brinjal, tomato, and cauliflower had reached new highs. According to vendors, crops in vegetable-growing areas were severely destroyed as a result of unseasonal rain.

The market is swamped with green veggies, so homemakers are looking forward to the winter season. However, this year's supply has been harmed by heavy and unseasonal rainfall in vegetable-growing areas, and vegetable prices have continued to rise. The majority of veggies in the retail market cost more than Rs 60 per kilogram.

Cauliflower prices, which had been as high as Rs 60 per kg in the wholesale market, have now dropped to between Rs 14 and Rs 20 per kg. In the retail market, the vegetable costs Rs 40 per kg. Brinjal, on the other hand, costs between Rs 30 and Rs 40 per kg.
A bouquet of methi and palak leaf, among green vegetables, costs only Rs 5 to Rs 7 in the retail market.
