The Centres of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in the Maharashtra capital faces a shortage of Covid 19 vaccination due to which they have been suspended for Friday. The vaccination drive in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) remained suspended for the second consecutive day due to a shortage of vaccines.
In a recent announcement by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, relaxation on curbs for travelling in Mumbai local trains for the general public was made. With only those people travelling who have been administered with both the doses of Covid 19 vaccine from August 15. After the announcement, the vaccination centres witnessed a huge number of people rushing to get their doses.
The decision of resuming local trains came after many debates from the opposition and at the same time general public demanding as earlier only those who fall in the essential services category were permitted to travel by local trains in the city of Mumbai. After the announcement, commuters were delighted but as per the protocols, it is important to get both doses of the vaccine.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) centres were closed and many people who came for the administration returned disappointed. When asked the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officer about the reason for the unavailability of vaccines in their centres, Kishori Pedneakar stated the fault of centre stating that the vaccines are sent by the centre to the states, and the city of Mumbai has not received as much as it needed.
“If it is directed by the Central government then will be going to collect the vaccines,” she added Praising the son of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Aaditya Thackeray who is the Maharashtra Tourism Minister, Pedneakar stated that the minister was trying his best to provide the vaccines through the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) route.
Congress corporator Ravi Raja, who is a leader of opposition in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, stated that the government should also permit those people who have taken the first dose of the Covid 19 vaccine as the people have no choice but to wait due to shortage of vaccines.
