Covid 19 Vaccination drive resumes in Mumbai after a halt for two days

After the two-day suspension of vaccination, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday informed the citizens that Covid 19 vaccine doses will be available for the administration. This statement from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) came after a vaccine shortage for consecutive two days. The vaccination doses received by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) were 1,60,240 on Thursday night, which then was given to all the hospitals of government and all the municipal vaccination centres on Friday. 

 

“The suspended vaccination drive will be resumed on August 21, 2021. The drive was earlier suspended for two consecutive days in the city of Mumbai. The stock that has been received by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation includes 1,50,000 doses of Covishield and 10,240 doses of Covaxin,” said the statement released by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). 
 
Reports of decline in cases of Covid 19 have come, with 4,365 new COVID-19 cases, 6,384 recoveries and 105 deaths in the last 24 hours, stated the report from the health bulletin on Friday. The total number of active cases is 55,454. In the state of Maharashtra, the caseload has gone up to 64,15,935.
