The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will leave no stone unturned in its quest to raise the financial capital's happiness index. The Mumbai Civic Authority announced that it will build a treehouse in a garden plot near the Bandra bandstand, with funding from the District Planning Committee (DPC). For the first time, the DPC is implementing urban reform projects based on the notion proposed by Aaditya Thackeray, the Guardian Minister of Suburban Mumbai. According to BMC authorities, such projects will boost Mumbai's liveability index.

The Bandra treehouse project is said to be inspired by the famed 'Old Woman's Shoes' in Kamala Nehru Park in South Mumbai, often known as the Hanging Garden. Bandra is a posh seaside neighbourhood in Mumbai. The area is situated just north of the Mithi River, which divides Bandra from the Mumbai City region. The location attracts a large number of people and has a high tourist potential. The location has a high potential for luring tourists, according to Maharashtra Minister Aaditya Thackeray, and so has to be developed suitably. Thackeray, who is also Maharashtra's Tourism Minister, came up with the concept. As a result, the project would be sponsored by Thackeray's Mumbai suburban District Planning Committee.

One of the project's main goals, according to BMC officials, is to realise the vision of improving recreational amenities and user experience in parks and gardens. As a result, a Treehouse was proposed for a garden area near Bandstand in Bandra. "The Tree House serves as a recreational building made entirely of wood, avoiding the usage of cement. The intervention is designed to attract visitors to the garden, including youngsters and adults. People will be able to experience a wide range of innovations and opportunities in the public domain as a result of such infrastructure "According to a BMC official.

"The Mumbai Maritime Board has already given us their approval. We want to finish the project before the monsoon arrives. Under the District Planning Committee (DPC), the Guardian Minister has set aside funding to revitalise Suburban Mumbai with tactical urban interventions "Kiran Dighavkar remarked. The Planning Department of the BMC has an Assistant Municipal Commissioner.
