The MoU will soon be inked between Maharashtra and West Midland (UK) for luring investments, and both states will extend mutual collaboration for the manufacturing of electric vehicles and tourism development projects, according to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's announcement on Wednesday. During Mr. Shinde's meeting with Andy Street, the mayor of the West Midlands, this was decided.

Shinde further promised that the state government would follow up with the federal government to begin flights between Mumbai and Birmingham. According to Shinde, there would be numerous investment opportunities accessible for investors from the West Midland since several infrastructure projects, like the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link and the Mumbai Nagpur Samruddhi Mahamarg, are currently under construction. In order to take advantage of the upcoming opportunities, he hoped that the West Midland businesses will invest in the region.

Shinde oversees the improvement of Mumbai's Koliwadas (fisherman colonies). Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today ordered infrastructure to be built and the Koliwadas in the city to be made more attractive to tourists in addition to beautifying the city of Mumbai. Infrastructure improvements should be done to Mumbai's Koliwadas, and efforts should be made to enhance their beauty in order to draw tourists there. This will boost local employment while introducing foreign tourists to local cuisine and culture, according to Shinde.

Shinde claimed that Mumbai must change if it is to become more significant in terms of tourism. For this, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation beautifies streets, historic structures, traffic islands, and public spaces. He has given the order to speed up these advancements, nevertheless.
