The hearing process for comments and objections regarding the drawing of ward borders in Mumbai is concluded. According to the BMC, 555 of the 893 applicants attended the hearing procedure, while 338 were missing. On March 2, a hearing committee will submit its report to the State Election Commission (SEC). The SEC issued a notification in the last week of December 2021  directing the BMC to disclose its draught of electoral ward boundary demarcation.

The majority of the BMC's 893 proposals and objections were received till February 14 concerning ward boundaries, ward descriptions, and demographics. Political leaders, including corporators, former corporators, and political party employees, submitted about 450 petitions. The BMC then forwarded all of the ideas and complaints to the SEC-appointed committee.

Municipal Commissioner, Konkan Divisional Commissioner, Additional Commissioner of the Finance Department, and two Mumbai Collectors make up the committee. On February 22, the hearing began and ended on February 23. The hearing took place in the Y.B Chavan Auditorium.
