Sanjay Raut: The people opposing Maharashtra Bandh should question themselves of their Nationality
After the Lakhimpur Kheri episode, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition government decided on a state-wide Bandh in Maharashtra, which was 100 percent successful. Amid the Bandh Day, the Shiv Sena spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP stated that people who did not support Maharashtra Bandh, are citizens of this country.

“The people opposing this Maharashtra Bandh, they should ask themselves if they were citizens of our country,” stated Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut. The call for the bandh was given by the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition consisting of Shiv Sena, Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

After the day-long Bandh the step of Shiv Sena was called successful, where all the establishments, shops could be seen shutting down their services. “The Bharat Bandh was successful, those who supported have showcased their support for the episode started in Lakhimpur Kheri where the farmers were mowed down,” stated Sanjay Raut.

Not pointing to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Sanjay Raut stated that the former ally partners of Shiv Sena and the largest opposition party were against the Bandh. “The Shiv Sena is now organizing a Maharashtra Bandh at a time when people are already in tensed mode due to lockdown,” stated a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA, Ashish Shelar stated.

There were noticed protests in Pune-Bengaluru national highway in Kolhapur, similar to this incident at Chembur in the city of Mumbai where workers of the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray blocked the Ghatkopar Mahuk Road, resulting in them also being detained.
