The Maharashtra Legislative Council saw the Opposition walkout on Thursday after a member of the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) purportedly likened to farmers as "power snatchers." Pravin Darekar, the Council's Leader of Opposition, said they had raised the problem of the state power provider disconnecting farmers' electrical connections. Darekar, on the other hand, stated he couldn't recall the identity of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) member who remarked. "We wanted a conversation on the situation of farmers and sought some relief for the community," Darekar explained.
