Sanjay Surnar, a Dahisar resident who works for a travel agency, was walking past Dahisar checknaka on Penkar pada road on February 8, 2015, when the tragic incident occurred. With significant brain injuries, he was sent to the hospital. While undergoing therapy, he died four days later.

The accident was caused by Surnar's negligence, according to the insurance provider Reliance Gen Insurance Co. Ltd. The tribunal dismissed this claim, finding that the firm failed to conduct a thorough investigation of the offending bike's driver to prove it. A member of the tribunal, AM Chandekar, declared in his ruling that the deceased was a pedestrian. The scene of the event seemed to be a 25-foot-wide road, according to a police investigative report. It went on to say that it was daytime and that the driver of the guilty vehicle was to blame for the crash.
