BMC: The gap of 84 days after the first dose of Coivishield will not be mandatory
In a recent announcement made by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), it stated that now 84 days after the first dose of Covishield will not be mandatory for the citizens who have to travel to foreign countries on an urgent basis after the necessary documents have been prepared by them including the copies of travel documents like visa, air tickets which have been confirmed and various documents which state that the travel is justified.

This decision came up after many requests were made to the ministry of health from states and individuals to minimise the mandatory period of 84 days after the first dose of Covishild, for the people who on an urgent basis have to travel abroad, stated the Additional Municipal Commissioner Suresh Kakani after a letter from Health Minister was received on August 23. Further, the people asked the health ministry to consider their points.

“These citizens will be administered in the civic vaccination centres after the orders from the Government of India, and will permit the citizens who have to travel out of the country on an urgent basis if they can provide supporting documents,” stated Suresh Kakani the Additional Municipal Commissioner.
