As the tensions increased about whether the MVA will fight the BMC elections together or individually, Sena leader Sanjay Raut came out and cleared the air declaring that the MVA will fight the elections together.

There were reports stating that the alliance won't contest the BMC elections together. As the suspense grew more, Uddhav Thackeray himself confirmed that the MVA will contest the elections together on the anniversary of their one-year in office after the turmoil in 2019 which led to breakaway with the BJP after a long time.

Sena's spokesperson Sanjay Raut came out and said the Shivsena, NCP and Congress will  fight the BMC elections together. Raut said that they are confident of winning in the BMC elections as well.

Raut said "The Shiv Sena-led MVA will fight the civic polls in Maharashtra's capital and will win it.  In Mumbai, who else but Shiv Sena can win? The MVA is here to stay permanently".
