"At the Girgaon Chowpatty, Gateway of India, Dadar Chowpatty, Bandra Bandstand, and Juhu Chowpatty, we have established up teams that will keep watch alongside the local police and will take strong action against rule-breakers," said Suresh Kakani, Additional Commissioner of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). "Our ward level teams will also visit restaurants and events on a random basis to see if guests and organisers are adhering to the requirements," he added. In addition, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) intends to vaccinate 9 lakh youngsters aged 15 to 18 years.
