At a time when the Covid 19 caseload is much better, with duty for the government to make sure that every citizen has taken both the doses of Covid 19 vaccine, Actor Salman Khan has come out and stated that he will be helping the state of Maharashtra in convincing people to take the Covid 19 vaccine in Muslim dominated areas where people are hesitating to take the jab.
 
This declaration came out from the Health Minister of Maharashtra Rajesh Tope. Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope stated that though the state of Maharashtra is ahead in administering Covid 19 shots the pace is very low. This statement came out from the Health Minister of Maharashtra Rajesh Tope while interacting with the media. “There are some Muslim dominated areas, so we have decided Actor Salman Khan and some religious leaders to convince the Muslim community so that they take the vaccine as religious leaders and film actors have huge influence and people listen to them,” stated Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope. 
 
When asked about the possibility of a third wave of Covid 19 infection to the state Health Minister Rajesh Tope he stated that according to the expert’s opinion the pandemic has a seven-month cycle, but as the vaccination scale is large it is being speculated that the third wave will not be a danger. 
 
The total number of cases reported on Tuesday stands at 886 with 34 deaths which took the tally to 66,25,872 and death numbers to 140636 stated the health department. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), has reported the highest number of 213 infections.
