The Mumbai Police on Wednesday (April 7) issued detailed guidelines on the restrictions imposed in the city in view of the rising number of Covid-19 cases. According to the new guidelines, bars and wine shops will be closed. 

 

Religious places and beaches will be closed to the public.Newspaper printing, circulation and home delivery will be allowed between 7 am and 8 pm.  Movement of more than 5 people will be allowed on weekdays from 7 am to 8 pm.  On weekends, no movement is allowed between 8pm and 7am except for essential services.  Shops, markets and malls will be closed except for essential services. 

 

Film and TV shooting will be allowed with restrictions. Recreation and entertainment services such as cinemas, theatres, auditoriums, arcades, water parks, clubs, swimming pools, gyms and sports complexes will be closed. A maximum of 50 people will be allowed to attend weddings and no more than 20 people will be allowed at funerals.

 

Government offices will operate at a capacity of 50 and visitors will not be allowed.  Private offices will be closed except for those engaged in essential services or those excluded by the government.
