Next week onwards that is from June 14-20 around 19 out of 35 districts will be free from the covid-19 pandemic restrictions. Maharashtra state government has distributed the districts in four levels and as per the order, 19 districts come under level one. The level one districts have less than 5% of positivity rate and have recorded less than 40% occupancy in oxygen beds. Currently, only 10 districts have opened completely in Maharashtra.

All the economic activities are allowed to be open without any restrictions, under level one. The districts of level one are free to keep the timings and capacity like before. The major districts that fall under level one are Nagpur, Solapur, Ahmednagar, and Amravati. On June 4, the State government issued an order notifying the level of restrictions in different units of administration and various districts of Maharashtra.

Mumbai has also seen a declining rate of positivity and oxygen bed occupancy; thus, the financial capital will fall under level two. In which, the city is allowed to operate all the economic activities like malls, gyms, theatres, and salons with 50% capacity. However, only essential services will be allowed in local trains.

Thane and some other major cities fall in level three, as a slight increase in the positivity rate is recorded. This implies that all the malls, theatres will remain shut in the next week.
