Ramcharitra Rambhajan Singh, former Mayor and senior Congress leader, passed away

Ramcharitra Rambhajan Singh, the former Mayor of Mumbai and a prominent congressman, died on Thursday after a protracted illness. He was 86 years old when he died. He had been admitted to the Laxmi Hospital in Mulund. He is the father of five sons and two daughters. In the person of R.R.Singh, Congress has lost an experienced and bold leader.
 
From 1973 to 2002, he served as a Mumbai Corporator in various wards. He had witnessed BMC's activities as Mayor in 1993-94. The Mayor's term was only one year in 1993-94. He had solid contacts with all of the party's corporators, and during his time, he did a lot of development work for the city.
 
He had also served on BMC committees such as the Standing Committee, the Best Committee, the Improvement Committee, and the Health Committee. in addition to BMC's key posts In addition, R.R.Singh was the head of the Mumbai Congress. He also ran the R.R.Education Trust and the Mulund Citizen Charitable Trust, which benefited a lot of impoverished people.
 
R.R.Singh was the BMC's 'Bhishma Pitamaha' and one of the organization's tallest leaders. He was well-versed in all of BMC's rules and regulations. "It's a major setback for the Congress and the city of Mumbai," Ravi Raja, the Congress Group Leader in the BMC, said.
