An announcement was made by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday that out of the 309 immunization centres by the BMC only 58 will be administering Covid-19 vaccines on Tuesday due to the unavailability of vaccines. Posting on Twitter, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said “As there is the unavailability of Covid 19 vaccines, only 58 out of 309 Government BMC vaccination centres will be administering vaccine on July 20."
On Monday. Mumbai saw the lowest daily addition in numbers of patients with Covid 19 which were 402. It was an addition to the minimum daily cases recorded from 9 February when the rise was 375 with 14 deaths taking the tally to 7,31,563 and the toll to 15,716. It is the fourth consecutive day when the case increase has been less than 500, but the fatality rate can be seen with no difference it continues to hover 10-14 mark over the past six days.
The number of patients affected with Covid 19 on Monday was 577, which took the recovery number to 7,07,129, which is 97% of the overall tally, leaving the metropolis with 6,349 active cases. On Monday only 23,481 tests were conducted which can add to the reason for the decrease in Covid 19 infection. It is a sum which is the lowest in this month, earlier there was an average of 30,000-odd on other days, civic data said.

(BMC) also shows that the total number of tests in the maximum city now stands at 77,89,733, while the average growth rate in cases between July 12 and 18 was 0.06% and caseload doubling time was 1,034 days. At present, Mumbai has 62 sealed buildings and six containment zones.
