Mumbai: Maharashtra government has made it clear that there are no plans to unlock the state as of now. Chaos was created when an announcement was made yesterday by Vijay Wadettiwar, Relief and rehabilitation minister that, “18 districts of Maharashtra will unlock in five phases.” After the announcement, the news was floating all over in no time.

The statement from the government stated that “unlock in five phases was just a suggestion that we got during the meeting but no decision has been taken yet. Government is planning the unlock down and will release a formal statement”, the officials said in the clarification. On Thursday, Maharashtra recorded a total of 15,229 covid cases, the cases in the state are declining since May. Total cases in Maharashtra are 57.91 lakh, of which 2,04,974 are active.
